Trump Macon Rally: Oct. 24 Georgia Midterm Push
The Trump Macon rally is set for Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. President Donald Trump is returning to Georgia for another midterm campaign event, according to the Georgia Republican Party’s events page, which has registration information and updates. A venue has not yet been announced. The Macon stop comes just eight days after Trump headlined a rally in Dalton alongside Republican Senate nominee Mike Collins and gubernatorial nominee Rick Jackson.
Seven Rallies in Seven Days
The Georgia stop is the sixth date in a seven-rally, seven-state sprint in the race’s final stretch. The tour opens Monday in Wichita, Kansas, then runs through North Carolina, South Carolina, Iowa, and Florida before landing in Georgia on Saturday and closing Sunday in St. Clair County, Michigan. Republicans see the president’s closing-schedule appearances as a turnout engine for voters who are less likely to participate in midterm elections, while Democrats argue Trump’s involvement could energize opposition voters.
High-Stakes Georgia Races
Georgia is hosting two of the country’s most closely watched contests: Collins is challenging Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, while Jackson faces former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms for governor. Recent polling shows Ossoff leading Collins in the Senate race, with Jackson holding a narrow advantage over Bottoms in the governor’s race. At the Dalton rally on Oct. 16, Trump urged supporters to vote as if his own name were on the ballot, saying turnout surges when he is running.
