Earnings Week: Netflix, GM Open Busy Tuesday Slate

The earnings week October calendar kicks into high gear Tuesday, with Nasdaq futures rebounding Monday after last week’s punishing tech selloff. The S&P 500 fell 1.95% and the Nasdaq dropped 4.48% last week, and investors are counting on a blockbuster stretch of corporate results — led by Netflix and General Motors on Tuesday, then Tesla and Meta on Wednesday — to steady the market.

Tuesday: Netflix and GM Lead Off

Netflix reports third-quarter results after Tuesday’s closing bell, with analysts expecting earnings of about $0.82 per share on roughly $12.87 billion in revenue. As the first major tech-adjacent name of the week, the streaming giant’s numbers will be read as a bellwether for consumer discretionary spending heading into the rest of the week’s reports.

General Motors also reports Tuesday, before the market opens, with Wall Street expecting adjusted earnings near $3.60 per share on about $48.8 billion in revenue. Investors will focus on pickup pricing strength, tariff costs, and the ramp of next-generation full-size trucks. GE Aerospace, RTX, 3M, Hasbro, and SpaceX — in its second post-IPO earnings report — round out a packed Tuesday slate.

Wednesday and Beyond: Tesla, Meta, P&G

Wednesday brings the week’s double feature: Tesla (expected $0.45 EPS on $27.94 billion revenue, with focus on EV demand and margins after the recent Roadster unveiling) and Meta (expected $6.58–$6.77 EPS on about $63.3 billion in revenue), plus IBM. Thursday closes the marquee run with Procter & Gamble, Honeywell, Comcast, and Lockheed Martin. With Microsoft and Alphabet not reporting until October 28, this week is the opening act of a month-long megacap reporting stretch.
