Trump Greenville NC Rally: PGV Airport Venue Set
President Donald Trump’s Tuesday midterm rally in Greenville, North Carolina, will be held at Pitt-Greenville Airport (PGV), local station WITN reports. The venue confirmation follows the Republican National Committee’s announcement of the Oct. 20 event earlier this week, as Trump campaigns for North Carolina Republicans in the final stretch of the midterm elections.
Doors open at 3:30 p.m., the event begins at 5:30 p.m., and the president’s remarks are scheduled for 7 p.m., according to the Daily Reflector. Tickets are required, with attendees able to request up to four. It will be Trump’s fifth appearance in Greenville.
The Races on the Line
Republican Senate nominee Michael Whatley is scheduled to appear at Tuesday’s rally, his campaign said. Whatley is running against former Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper for a highly contested U.S. Senate seat. Whatley paused his television advertising last week while his campaign said adjustments were being made, and he has consistently trailed Cooper in polling, according to the Reflector.
The rally also spotlights the 1st Congressional District rematch between Democratic Rep. Don Davis and Republican Laurie Buckhout. The district was redrawn by Republican lawmakers in 2025 to favor the GOP; Davis won by about 6,000 votes in 2024. The Cook Political Report’s Oct. 9 update called Davis “without a doubt, the most vulnerable House Democrat in the country.” Rep. Greg Murphy is also campaigning for a congressional seat in eastern North Carolina.
A Busy Carolina Swing
Trump’s Greenville stop is part of a packed campaign schedule across the Carolinas. He campaigned in Gastonia for Whatley and other GOP candidates last month, and Vice President JD Vance is rallying Republicans in Hendersonville in western North Carolina.
PETA announced that a costumed protester representing a macaque used in NIH-funded experiments will greet Trump’s motorcade in Greenville on Tuesday, urging the president to end federal funding for monkey and dog experiments.
The North Carolina rally comes a day before Trump is expected in South Carolina, where he is slated to campaign for Sen. Darline Graham in Greenville, S.C., on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
