Trump St. Clair County Rally Set for Oct. 25
President Donald Trump will headline a midterm rally in St. Clair County, Michigan, on Sunday, Oct. 25, the Trump 47 Committee announced Friday. The event marks his return to Michigan ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections, as Democrats are widely expected to make gains in both chambers of Congress.
The committee, a joint fundraising venture between Trump’s Save America committee, the Republican National Committee and other GOP organizations, released the event details Friday morning.
What We Know: Times and Tickets
The rally will be held at an as-yet undisclosed location in St. Clair County, northeast of Detroit. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and Trump’s remarks are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., according to the Trump 47 Committee and the official GOP events page.
The event is open to the public but tickets are required, with a maximum of four tickets per signup. Attendees register online with a phone number and must confirm by text message before their registration is complete.
A Seven-Stop Week
The Michigan rally is expected to be Trump’s seventh campaign stop in a seven-day stretch, following an appearance in Macon, Georgia, the day before. Trump had said earlier in October that he would return to Michigan ahead of the election.
He has been crisscrossing the country holding rallies for Republican candidates in the final weeks of the midterm campaign, with stops in states including Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina already on the schedule.
Obama Counters in Detroit
Trump’s Michigan visit comes one day after Democratic former President Barack Obama is expected to hold a get-out-the-vote rally in Detroit on Saturday, Oct. 24, setting up a weekend of dueling high-profile campaign events in the state.
