Trump Wichita Rally Venue: Park City Arena on Monday
The trump wichita rally venue is now set: President Donald Trump’s Monday campaign rally for Sen. Roger Marshall will be held at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City, just north of Wichita, after days of speculation about where the event would land.
The Republican National Committee announced the location Friday morning through a website for media credentials. The arena, formerly known as Hartman Arena, seats up to 6,500 people and sits near I-135 and 77th Street North.
Schedule for Monday
Doors open to the public at 2:30 p.m., the program begins at 4:30 p.m., and Trump is expected to take the stage at 6 p.m. The Kansas stop is part of his October campaign swing through competitive states ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.
A Race That Tightened Fast
Marshall is seeking reelection in a contest the Cook Political Report now rates a toss-up. His Democratic challenger is Adam Hamilton, a Methodist minister from Leawood. Kansas has not elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate since 1932, but recent polls show the race essentially tied.
What Else to Know
Earlier in the week, the RNC confirmed the Kansas visit after Trump teased a “Kansas Style” rally on social media, though a ticket-access page briefly showed an error Friday morning. Trump last held a campaign rally in Wichita in 2016 and campaigned in Topeka during the 2018 midterms.
